HBO Max's Dune series scores The Haunting of Bly Manor's Diane Ademu-John as showrunner

Diane Ademu-Whoremaster joins the show, entitled Dune: The Sisterhood, in the role of writer, producer and showrunner. Prometheus scribe Jon Spaihts was previously attached but leftist the project in November 2019 to revolve about writing the Sand dune movie sequel.

According to Variety's report the series "is told through the eyes of a mysterious order of women called the Bene Gesserit. Conferred extraordinary abilities by their mastery of the body and the mind, the Bene Gesserit expertly weave through the feudal political science and intrigue of The Imperium, pursuing plans of their own that wish ultimately lead them to the enigmatic satellite Arrakis, known to its inhabitants equally Sand dune."
